Left-hand front fork bottom member with cap, 97-2294, from the 1969 telescopic fork assembly.
This is the left-hand bottom member for the front fork, listed in the parts book as coming complete with its cap, under part number 97-2294 (also shown in older references as H2294). The bottom member is the lower fork slider assembly that the fork legs ride in, and it's the piece that carries the wheel end of the front suspension on that side of the bike.

Our catalog shows this one turning up in the front fork figures for the 1969 model year. If you're rebuilding or replacing a fork slider on the left side, this is the part to be looking at, but given how specific fork parts can be from year to year, it's worth double-checking against what's actually on your bike before you order.
