REAR BRAKE LEVER ON PLATE
Rear brake cam lever that mounts on the brake plate and pulls the cam over when you apply the rear brake.
The 37-1466 is the rear brake cam lever that mounts on the brake plate at the rear wheel of Triumph 500 and 650 twins. It's the arm the brake rod pulls on when you press down on the rear brake pedal, and it's what actually rotates the brake cam inside the drum to apply the shoes. This one shows up in the parts books for the quickly-detachable rear wheel setup as well as the standard rear wheel arrangement, so it's a common piece across those variants for the mid-60s catalog years we have on file. You'll also see it listed under the older L16L designation or as W1466 in some records — same physical lever.
If yours is worn at the pivot hole or the square broaches out where it meets the cam, the lever can start to slip or feel loose under pedal pressure, so it's worth checking that fit when you're doing brake work at the back wheel.
