Brake anchor plate
Rear brake anchor plate for the drum brake at the back wheel, carries the shoes and pivot; also listed under the earlier number 37-1081.
This is the rear brake anchor plate, 37-1112, the plate the rear brake shoes and cam pivot on at the back wheel. It's the part that carries the whole rear drum brake mechanism and keys it to the swinging arm or frame so the shoes don't rotate with the drum when you apply the brake. It shows up under our records tied to the older 37-1081 number as well, so if your parts book lists that instead, it's the same physical piece.

The catalog shows this plate across a run of rear wheel figures from 1960 through 1969, which tells you it saw a fair bit of service life on the unit-construction twins of that era without being redesigned. It carries a stud for mounting the brake operating arm; the stud is threaded 7/16 x 26 CEI.
If you're replacing one, check the shoes and cam bushes at the same time since they all live on this plate together. Given how many catalog entries reference this part, it's worth confirming which anchor plate number your bike's book calls out before ordering, since the older 37-1081 designation and this one cover the same part but the number in your manual may differ.
