Fork stem sleeve nut
Split sleeve nut that caps the steering damper assembly at the top of the fork stem, also known as H405.
This is the fork stem sleeve nut, also catalogued under the older H405 number, and it lives at the top of the steering stem where the steering damper assembly passes through. It's a split nut with an open top so the damper rod can run through it, and it threads down to hold the damper stack together at the headstock.

Our records show it turning up in the telescopic front fork figures for the TR6 and T120 as well as the T90 and T100/T100SS, spanning catalog years 1960 through 1966. If you're working on a steering damper setup on one of these forks, this is the nut that captures the top of that assembly.
Because fork and damper specifications varied across model years, check your own parts book or give us a call to confirm this is the right nut for your particular fork before ordering.
