Quadrant spindle
The pivot shaft for the gear selector quadrant inside the gearbox inner cover.
The 57-7011 quadrant spindle is a gearbox internal, found in the catalog under the GEARBOX INNER COVER AND SELECTORS heading. Catalog appearances place this part in the late 1970s range of unit-construction gearbox production, showing up in a couple of parts-book listings from that era. If you're rebuilding or troubleshooting a gear selector mechanism that's gone sloppy or won't index cleanly between gears, the quadrant spindle is one of the wear points worth checking along with the quadrant itself and its return spring.
We don't have a lot more detail on this one beyond its place in the selector assembly. If you're not sure this is the right spindle for the gearbox you're working on, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
