Air slide (928/062)
The throttle slide from an Amal Mk I Concentric carburetor, used on TR7RV and T140V models.
This is the air slide out of the Amal Concentric carburetor, catalog number 99-0528, also carried under the reference 928/062. It's the piece inside the carb body that rides up and down with the throttle cable, controlling how much air passes through the venturi as you open and close the throttle. The cutaway on the bottom edge of the slide is part of what tunes the carb's response off idle, working together with the needle and jet.

This one turns up in the parts books for the Amal Mk I Concentric carburetors used on the TR7RV and T140V machines, spanning catalog listings from the mid-1970s into 1980. If your carb is worn where the slide rides in the body, or the slide itself is scored or sticking, that's usually what causes a throttle that doesn't return cleanly or holds a lumpy idle.
Make sure you're matching this against the actual carb body and bore you're running before ordering, since Amal Concentrics came in different sizes across those years and the slide has to suit the specific carb it's going into.
