RIGHT BOTTOM MEMBER cw CAP

97-4220 is the right-hand bottom member for the telescopic front fork, complete with its cap. The bottom member is the lower slider casting the fork leg rides on, the part that actually holds the front wheel spindle and takes the road hits as the fork does its job. It's the right-side piece, so it's not interchangeable with the left slider - the two sides carry different mounting points for the spindle, mudguard stays, and brake components. The catalog only ties this one to 1974, so we don't have a spread of model years to point to beyond that. If you're replacing a bottom member, check the whole leg over while you're in there - bushes, stanchion, seals - since it's rare to need one on its own without the rest of the leg showing some age too.
