LOWER FORK CAP 71-72 BILLET AL - SOLD EACH_x000D_ (BSA/ TRI)
Billet aluminum lower fork cap for the conical-hub telescopic front fork, sold each, PN 97-3947.
This is the lower fork cap that closes off the bottom of the fork leg on the conical-hub front end, machined from billet aluminum. The part number 97-3947 also shows up in older parts books as H3947, same physical piece under the legacy letter-prefix numbering.

It lives at the bottom of the telescopic front fork assembly, where the fork leg terminates and the wheel spindle passes through. Catalog listings for this cap run across the 1971-1972 span, tied to the conical hub fork era before Triumph and BSA moved to disc brakes up front.
It's sold each, so if you need a pair for both fork legs you'll want to order two. Since it's a billet aluminum piece sitting right at the bottom of the fork leg, it's worth a look any time you've got the front end apart for seals or bushings.
