SPEEDO MOUNT,TR6C 1968-70 (Center mount triangle)

Center-mount triangular bracket for a single speedometer or tachometer, used on the TR6C.

PN · 97-2138

This is the center-mount speedo bracket for the TR6C, a triangular plate that carries a single instrument up on the top of the fork or headlamp area rather than the twin-clamp setup used on the road bikes. It shows up in the parts book under the SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER figure, and it's built to hold one gauge rather than a pair, which fits the trail/scrambler layout the TR6C used.

Catalog listings for this bracket run 1968 to 1970, so if you're working on a TR6C from that stretch this is the mount that's called for. The older reference number for it is H2138, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows that instead of 97-2138 you're looking at the same physical piece.

Because it's a single-instrument mount, it won't work for setups running both a speedo and tach side by side - that's a different bracket entirely. If you're not sure which triangle your bike takes, bring in what you've got or give us a call before you order.
