NUT,TOP TRIPLE CLAMP LOCK
Lock nut for the top triple clamp pinch bolt on Triumph telescopic front forks, also known as H379.
This is the lock nut that pairs with the pinch bolt on the top triple clamp (top yoke) on Triumph telescopic front forks. It threads onto the pinch bolt and clamps things down so the top clamp holds the fork tubes securely where they pass through it. It shows up under the old part number H379 in earlier parts books, same physical piece as 97-0379 in the later numbering.

The catalog has this nut appearing across several front fork and headlamp nacelle figures, spanning telescopic fork listings for the 6T as well as TR6 and T120 applications from the mid-to-late 1960s. It's a small, easy-to-lose piece of hardware, and it's one that tends to go missing or get replaced with the wrong nut over the years on bikes that have been apart.
If you're rebuilding a top yoke assembly on one of these forks, it's worth checking that you've actually got the correct nut and pinch bolt combination rather than something that just happens to thread on. Give us a call if you're not sure what's currently on your bike.
