Float (99-0512)

Hollow float for the Amal Concentric carburetor float bowl, PN 622/069 (supersedes 99-0512).

PN · 622/069
Supersedes 99-0512 — earlier factory number for this part.

This is the float for an Amal Concentric carburetor, part number 622/069, which supersedes the earlier 99-0512 number if that's what your parts book shows. The float sits inside the float bowl on the bottom of the carb body and rides up and down with the fuel level, working the needle valve to keep the bowl fed with the right amount of fuel and no more.

This is a hollow float, part of the Concentric float bowl design that Amal moved to as they got away from the older side float chamber setup on the Monobloc carbs. It shows up across a wide run of Amal Concentric carb figures in our records, spanning T100, T120, TR6, TR6R, TR6C, T140V, and TR7RV listings, so it's a part that gets used across a lot of different carb assemblies rather than being specific to one model.

If your bowl isn't holding fuel level right, or you're getting flooding or fuel starvation, the float is one of the first things worth pulling and checking for cracks, waterlogging, or wear at the pivot. Cheap to have on hand if you're rebuilding a Concentric.
