Folding Kickstarter

Folding kickstart lever for the gearbox outer cover, listed as 57-3632 (later 57-7018).

PN · 57-3632
Superseded by 57-7018.

This is the folding kickstarter lever, listed in the gearbox outer cover section of the parts books. It's the arm you swing down to turn the engine over by hand, pivoting from the outer gearbox cover on the right side of the case. The folding tip lets the lever tuck in against the footrest area when it's not in use, rather than sticking straight out.

In our records it shows up under the number 57-3632, with T3632 being the older letter-prefix form of the same part. Triumph later revised the part number to 57-7018, so if you're working from a parts book or catalog printed after that change, that's the number you'll see for the same lever.

This one appears across a run of catalog years from 1969 into 1974, so it was in service for a while before the renumbering. If you're trying to match a lever to a specific gearbox cover, it's worth double-checking against what your bike actually has on it before ordering.
