Crankcase casting with studs and right main bearing fitted, for the engine bottom end.

This is the crankcase casting itself, sold complete with its studs and the right-hand main bearing already fitted. It's the bottom-end housing that carries the crankshaft and forms the lower half of the engine, so it's about as central a part as there is to the motor.
