2622/079 Cold start plunger assy

Cold start (choke) plunger assembly for the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor, used on T140E/T140D carbs.

PN · 99-7076
Superseded by 2622/079.

This is the cold start plunger assembly for the Amal Concentric Mk II carburetor, the part that gives you a manual choke function on these carbs. It sits right on top of the carb body and lets you richen the mixture for cold starting by pulling it up. The catalog also carries this under the number 2622/079, which is the Amal-side number for the same assembly.

It shows up in the parts books for the T140E and T140D fitted with the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor, in catalog entries covering 1979 to 1980. If you're working on a carb from that era and the choke plunger is sticking, leaking fuel, or missing altogether, this is the assembly to look at.

If you're not sure whether your carb is the Mk II Concentric or an earlier version, check the carb body markings before ordering — the plunger assemblies aren't all interchangeable between versions.
