2622/087 Cold start click spring

Click spring for the cold start (choke) lever on the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor used on T140E/T140D models.

PN · 99-7078
Superseded by 2622087.

This is the click spring off the cold start (choke) mechanism on the Amal Mk II Concentric carburetor, as used on the T140E and T140D. The catalog lists it under the Amal part number 2622/087, which shows up in our records as 2622087 as well - same physical piece, just two ways it's been numbered over the years.

The click spring is a small detent spring that gives the cold start lever its notched feel, holding the choke slide in position rather than letting it flop around once you've set it. It's a minor part, but if your choke lever won't hold a position or feels loose and sloppy, this spring or its detent ball is usually the culprit.

Our catalog ties this one specifically to the T140E and T140D carburetor figures with the Mk II Concentric. If you're working on a different Amal carb setup, check the figure that matches your actual carburetor before ordering.
