Rear motor plate—L.H

Left-hand rear engine mounting plate, part 83-3023, that bolts the motor into the frame at the rear.

PN · 83-3023

This is the left-hand rear motor plate, part number 83-3023, also known under the older F13023 designation. It shows up in the parts book under Motor Unit Fitting and Footrests, which tells you it's one of the plates that bolts the engine into the frame cradle at the rear mounting point, on the left side of the bike.

Motor plates like this one carry real load - they're what keeps the engine from shifting in the frame under vibration and torque, and they also usually give you a mounting point for the footrest assembly. Because it's a structural piece, fit and condition matter more than most brackets on the bike.

This one appears across catalog listings spanning 1971 to 1974. If you're replacing a cracked or stretched plate, it's worth checking the bolt holes and the footrest mount for wear before you button everything back up. Give us a call if you want to confirm it matches what's currently on your bike.
