Footrest rubber (alternative 82-9630)
Rubber cover for the Triumph footrest peg, cataloged 1969-1978, also known as T37 or 57-0037.
This is the rubber that slips over the footrest peg on Triumph twins, the piece your boot actually rests on. It shows up in the parts books under the old letter-prefix number T37 as well as 57-0037 before Triumph moved to the numeric-only system, and it's also cataloged as 82-9279 across a run of frame and footrest fittings figures from 1969 through 1978. There's an alternative listed too, 82-9630, which the parts books note as a substitute for this same footrest position.

Functionally it's a wear item - the rubber takes the abuse from your boot and the elements, so it dries out, cracks, and eventually shrinks or splits over time. Replacing it is straightforward since it just pulls over the footrest peg.
This one also carries an older factory number, NF704, from before the modern numbering scheme. If you're working from an older parts book and see NF704 listed, that's the same part.
