Backing plate sae
Backing plate for the rear mudguard mounting point, reinforcing the fender bracket attachment.
This is the backing plate that sits on the underside of the rear mudguard, working with the fender bracket to keep the mounting point from cracking or tearing loose over time. It shows up across a long run of fender and mudguard figures in the parts books, both under the U.S. spelling and the standard one, which tells you this is a basic piece of hardware Triumph carried on the rear guard assembly for many years.

The old book form of this part is F6031 if you're working from an earlier parts list. It's a small plate, but it does real work spreading load where the mudguard stay bolts through, so if the sheet metal around that mounting hole looks stressed or cracked, this is one of the first things to check.
Our catalog record ties this to fenders and mudguard figures across a run of years but doesn't spell out which specific model line it's paired with beyond that. Call the shop and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
