GASKET TIMING PLATE
Gasket for the timing plate cover on Triumph/BSA triple-cylinder engines, PN 71-1440 (aka 33T).
71-1440 is the gasket for the timing plate on the triple-cylinder Triumph and BSA engines, also known in older parts books under the legacy number 33T. It seals the small patent timing cover plate against the engine casing so oil stays where it belongs instead of seeping out around that cover.

This one shows up in catalogs tied to the Triples line, so if you're working on a T150, T160, Trident, or one of the related BSA Rocket triples, this is the gasket to have on hand when you pull that inspection plate. It's a thin, one-piece seal, sold individually.
We don't have a lot of extra history on this part number beyond what the catalogs confirm, so if you're not sure your bike takes this exact gasket, check your parts book against the plate you're pulling off before you order.
