PUSH ROD TUBE SEAL 500
Lower pushrod tube seal for Triumph 500cc engines, sealing the joint between the tappet guide block and pushrod tube.
70-3758 is the lower pushrod tube seal used on Triumph's 500cc engines, sitting at the joint where the pushrod tube meets the tappet guide block. Its job is to keep oil from working its way out of that junction as the engine runs. This part also shows up in older paperwork under the numbers 97-0312B and H312B, so if your parts book lists one of those, you're looking at the same seal.

Getting to this seal isn't a five-minute job — it lives down where the cylinder head has to come off to get at it, so it's the kind of part worth having on hand any time you're in there for other work rather than ordering separately after the fact.
