Body, reservoir
Master cylinder reservoir body for Triumph hydraulic brake systems, front or rear depending on application.
This is the reservoir body for a Triumph master cylinder, appearing under PN 60-4397 with the earlier factory number 4221-072 and the Lockheed-style form 3251-821 also on file for the same part. It shows up in the front brake and rear brake sections of the parts books, so this reservoir was used on both the front hydraulic system and the rear disc setup depending on which figure it's pulled from.

The reservoir body is the cup that holds the brake fluid above the master cylinder piston, feeding fluid into the system as the pads wear and the level drops. On these bikes it's a separate piece from the cap, so if you're replacing one, check whether you need the cap or clamp hardware too - those are catalogued under their own numbers.
Our record spans catalog appearances from the mid-70s into the early 80s, which lines up with the era of oil-in-frame Triumphs that ran hydraulic disc brakes. If you're not sure whether this is the front or rear version for your bike, give us a call and we'll match it to your setup before you order.
