CLUTCH SHOCK ASSY 3 SPRING TRIUMPH/BSA TWIN - LATER TYPE With Through Bolts
Later-type three-spring clutch shock absorber assembly with through bolts for Triumph and BSA unit twins.
This is the later-type clutch shock absorber assembly for Triumph and BSA unit twins, the three-spring version that uses through bolts to hold the rubber cush unit and hub center together. It sits inside the clutch, between the chainwheel and the clutch center, and its job is to soak up the harsh driveline snatch that comes from a big single or twin firing through a solid-mounted gearbox and chain. Without it, or with a worn-out one, you get clunk and lash every time you get on or off the throttle.

The part number 57-4435 covers the complete pre-assembled unit, not just the rubbers, so you're getting the hub center with springs and through-bolt hardware ready to bolt in. It's listed as the later type, which in the parts books distinguishes it from an earlier three-spring design that used a different fastening arrangement - if you're not sure which one your bike left the factory with, pull the old one and compare before ordering.
We don't have much in the way of catalog history on this one beyond the description itself, so if you've got questions about which clutch basket or hub this pairs with, give us a call and we'll sort out fitment before you commit.
