CONNECTOR,CABLE TO CLUTCH

The connector linking the clutch cable to the clutch release lever at the gearbox outer cover.

PN · 57-1946

57-1946 is the connector that joins the clutch cable to the clutch release mechanism at the gearbox outer cover. It shows up in the gearbox outer cover and levers figures, where the cable end meets the operating arm, and it's the small link piece that lets the cable pull actuate the clutch lever inside the cover. Older parts books list this same piece under T1946, so if you're cross-checking a pre-1973 book against a current listing, those two numbers are the same part.

This is a simple mechanical connector, not an electrical fitting despite the manufacturer listing on some records pointing that direction — the figure titles and description both put it squarely in the gearbox/clutch operating linkage. It's a low-cost item worth keeping a spare of if you're doing cable or lever work, since it's easy to lose track of or damage when swapping cables.

Our catalog record doesn't tie this to a specific model or year beyond the general span it appears across, so if fitment matters for your bike, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
