BSA Oil pump driven spindle
Oil pump driven spindle that carries drive to the oil pump from the crankcase area.

It shows up in the parts book under the OIL PUMP, GEARBOX SPROCKET and CRANKCASE figures, which tells you it sits down at the crankcase where the pump mounts and takes its drive off the gearbox sprocket area.
