Return spring (brake shoe)

Return spring for the rear brake shoes on Triumph's conical hub rear wheel setup.

PN · 37-2328

37-2328 is a return spring for the rear brake shoes on the conical hub rear wheel setup. It's a small but important part - it's what pulls the brake shoes back off the drum surface once you let off the brake, so the wheel spins free instead of dragging. The catalog shows it appearing under the rear wheel figures for the early 1970s conical hub bikes.

The old book number for this one is W2328, same spring, just the earlier part-number style. These springs don't owe you anything forever - they lose tension over time and a weak or broken one will leave you with a dragging brake or shoes that don't seat evenly, so if your rear brake feels grabby or the wheel doesn't spin freely with the brake off, this is a cheap thing to check.

We stock it for the conical hub rear brake work on the early-70s twins. If you're not sure whether your hub is the conical style, bring it in or send a picture before you order.
