THROTTLE NEEDLE (2A1)
Amal MK2 carburetor throttle needle, 2A1 profile, PN 2622/124, made to pair with the 2928/122 needle jet.
This is the 2A1 throttle needle for Amal MK2 carburetors, part number 2622/124. The needle is the tapered rod that rides inside the needle jet and, as the throttle opens, changes how much fuel gets pulled into the airstream through the carb body. It's a small but exact piece, and the 2A1 profile is a specific calibration, not an interchangeable stand-in for other Amal needles.

The 2A1 needle is meant to be run with the matching 2928/122 needle jet — the two are a pair that were specified together for a particular jetting setup on Amal MK2 carbs. If your bike has the 2928/122 jet fitted, this is the needle that goes with it; mixing needle profiles with the wrong jet will throw off the mixture curve across the throttle range.
