STUD - T140 HEAD TORQUE STAY/ROCKER BOX
Cylinder head stud for the torque stay/rocker box mount on Triumph T140 top ends.
This is a cylinder head stud used at the torque stay/rocker box location on the T140 top end. It appears across the CYLINDER BLOCK AND HEAD figures for the TR7RV, T140V, and T140E, so it's a stud Triumph carried through several versions of the top end setup on this family of engines.

The torque stay is the brace that ties the rocker box back to the frame, cutting down on flex at the top of the engine, and this stud is one of the fasteners that holds that assembly together. Given how long it shows up in the parts books, it's a part that's worth having on hand when you're doing top end work rather than discovering partway through a rebuild that yours is stretched or the threads are chewed up.
If you're working from an older parts book and see it listed as a top torque stay stud, that's the same fastener under a slightly different description. Check your stud against the one coming out before ordering, since head stud lengths and thread engagement can vary by location on the head.
