HEAD NUT-T140 INSIDE ROCKER BOX
placeholder
This is the 21-2204 head nut, the 3/8-inch socket nut that sits down inside the rocker box on Triumph 750 cylinder head studs. It's the fastener that pulls the head down onto the barrel from underneath the rocker box, rather than one you see from the outside of the engine, so a socket or box tool that reaches down into the recess is what you need to get at it.

The catalog shows this nut across the 750 twin cylinder head figures, including the T140V, T140E, and TR7RV listings, and it turns up across a long run of catalog years from the mid-70s into the mid-80s. If you're pulling a head on one of these engines it's worth checking the condition of all the socket nuts at once, since they take a fair bit of torque and a stripped or worn one is no fun to deal with later.
Sold individually, so figure out how many you actually need before ordering - a head has more than one stud, and these inside-rocker-box nuts aren't the same as any outside nuts on the same head.
