Float needle
Float needle for the Amal carburetter, controls fuel shut-off as the float rises in the bowl.
This is the float needle for the Amal carburetter, part number 19-3105 (also shown in the books as 622/068). It works with the float and float bowl to shut off fuel flow once the bowl reaches the right level, then opens again as fuel gets drawn out through the main jet and idle circuit. It's a wear item — the tip seats against the needle valve body every time the float rises, and after enough miles that seat wears and starts letting fuel past, which shows up as flooding or fuel dripping out the overflow.

Our catalog record has this part turning up across several carburetter and carburetter-and-air-cleaner figures, spanning catalog years 1969 through 1972. It's an Amal-made part, not something farmed out to another supplier, so it should mate correctly with the needle valve body and float already in your carb.
If your carb is flooding or running rich at idle, this is one of the first small parts worth checking along with the float itself and the needle valve seat. Confirm which carb body you're running before ordering, since Amal used more than one needle/seat combination across its range.
