Leak-proof style fork oil seal for Triumph front forks, also cataloged as 97-7079.
This is the fork oil seal in the improved leak-proof style that Triumph introduced for the front forks starting in 1971 on. It sits down in the lower fork leg where the stanchion tube passes through, and its job is to keep the fork oil in and the road grit out so the damping stays consistent and the sliders don't weep oil down the leg.

The part number also shows up in catalogs as 97-7079, so if your parts book or an old invoice lists that number, it's the same seal. Some versions of this seal are retained with a steel washer or circlip that is sold separately, so check what your fork legs actually take before you order.
