Throttle valve (No. 3 cutaway)
Amal Concentric carburetor throttle valve/slide with a No. 3 cutaway, PN 99-0527, later numbered 928/060C.
This is the throttle valve, also called the slide, out of an Amal Concentric carburetor, with a No. 3 cutaway. It's the part that rides up and down inside the carb body when you roll the throttle, and the cutaway notch on its front face is what shapes the air/fuel mixture as the slide lifts off idle.

Catalog listings put this slide in Concentric-equipped carburetors across a run of Triumph twins and triples from 1968 into 1980, showing up under figure titles for the TR7RV, T140V, and general carburetor sections. It's listed under the number 99-0527 in the older parts books and carries forward as 928/060C, which is the number you'll see if you're working from a more current Amal reference.
Cutaway size matters for how the carb responds off idle, so if you're replacing a worn or nicked slide, it pays to check the cutaway number stamped or noted on the one coming out before you order. Slides wear at the bore and can start letting the engine run rich or hunt at idle, so this is a normal wear item to keep on hand.
