Throttle return spring for Amal Concentric carburetors, part number 99-1033 (622/131).

PN · 99-1033

This is the throttle return spring listed for Amal Concentric carburetors, part number 99-1033, also shown in the parts books under the reference 622/131. It's the spring that pulls the throttle slide back down and closes the carb off when you let go of the twist grip, sitting inside the carb body around the throttle slide and cable.

It shows up across the Amal Concentric carburetor figures, including the TR7RV and T140V listings and the general Concentric series pages, so it's a common item across the unit-twin Amal carb setups Triumph ran through the mid-to-late '70s and into the '80s.

If your bike's throttle doesn't snap shut cleanly, or the slide feels sluggish returning to idle, a tired or broken return spring is one of the first things to check inside the carb body. It's a small part but worth having on hand since a weak one can leave you with a hung throttle.
