Float chamber
Float chamber for an Amal carburetor, shown in the T140V carburetor figure, PN 99-0506 / 622/055.
This is a float chamber for an Amal carburetor, listed in the T140V carburetor figure. It's the housing that bolts to the side of the carb body and holds the float and fuel level at the correct height so the main jet and needle jet get fed properly. If the float chamber is cracked, warped, or the gasket seat is pitted, you'll see fuel leaking or a bike that floods or runs lean depending on what's gone wrong inside.

The number 622/055 is the Amal-side reference for this same chamber, so if your old parts book or a spares list shows that number instead of 99-0506, you're looking at the same part. It shows up in our records against the T140V carburetor setup, so it's worth checking against the carb you're actually running before you order, since Amal used a number of float chamber variants across different carb bodies.
