This is the drain plug for the float chamber on an Amal carburetor, listed in the catalog under 99-1152 with the alternate Amal reference 622/147. It threads into the bottom of the float bowl and lets you empty the fuel out without pulling the whole carb apart.

It shows up in the carburetor and throttle linkage figures for the T140V, so it's tied to that carb setup in our records. If you're laying a bike up for winter or need to drain old fuel before it gums up the float needle, this is the plug you pull.
It's a small, easy part to lose track of, so if yours is stripped or missing, worth grabbing a replacement rather than improvising with something that won't seal right.
