Heat sink bracket
Zener diode heat sink bracket from the ignition/electrical cluster, part number 97-2365, later replaced by 97-4262.
This is the heat sink bracket that carries the zener diode on the electrical system, part number 97-2365, also known by its earlier form H2365. It shows up in the ignition coils, horn, rectifier and zener diode figures, so it lives right there in that cluster of electrical components rather than out on its own.

The zener diode needs somewhere to dump heat, and that is the whole job of this bracket - it mounts the diode so the surrounding metal can pull heat away from it. Without a proper heat sink the diode runs hotter than it should and that shortens its life.
Our catalog record ties this one to 1970 appearances, and the factory later replaced it with 97-4262. If your bike's parts book lists the diode bracket under either number, they are the same physical part - give us a call if you want to confirm which one you actually need before ordering.
