CIRCLIP,SHUTTLE SECURING
Circlip that secures the shuttle valve inside a Triumph telescopic front fork leg with shuttle valve damping.
This is the circlip that holds the shuttle valve in place inside a telescopic front fork leg. On the shuttle-valve damping forks used on Triumph unit twins (and the same fork design used across BSA's line in this era) this small clip keeps the shuttle valve located on the damper rod so the fork can build the compression and rebound damping it's designed for. The catalog also lists this part turning up in swinging fork and suspension unit references, since the fork internals get covered alongside the rest of the rear suspension in some parts book sections.

Older parts books will show this as H2127 — same physical part, just the pre-metric-numbering form of 97-2127. If you're rebuilding a fork leg with the shuttle valve damping system, this is a part worth having on hand since it's easy to lose or distort during teardown and it's not something you want to reuse if it's already been sprung open once.
Catalog listings for this one run from the late 1960s into the early 1970s, which lines up with when the shuttle valve fork was in use before Triumph moved on to other damping arrangements.
