Chainguard
1969 rear chainguard for the swinging fork assembly, later superseded by part number 82-7707.
This is the chainguard listed under 82-9753, a 1969 part that lived over the rear chain, mounted along the swinging fork and suspension unit area at the back of the bike. Its job was straightforward: keep chain lube and road grit off the rider and keep debris from getting flung into the chain and sprockets.

The catalog shows this number was superseded by 82-7707, so if you're working from a later parts book or sourcing a replacement, that's the number you'll find it under now. The old alias F9753 is the earlier letter-prefix form of the same part, from when Triumph parts books used that style of numbering.
We only show this one appearing once in the catalog record for 1969, so if you're trying to match it up against a specific machine, have your frame and engine numbers handy and we'll square it away before you order.
