This is the battery carrier for 6-volt Triumphs, part number 82-5333, also found in older parts books under F5333. It's the tray/bracket that holds the battery in place under the seat area, and it shows up in the parts book alongside the air filter in the same figure, so the two share space in that part of the frame.
