PETCOCK,PREUNIT TRIUMPH - BRASS FINISH - TAPER SEAT TYPE (HAS NO RUBBER SEAL)
Brass taper-seat fuel petcock for pre-unit Triumph twins, no rubber seal, PN 82-3057.
This is a fuel tap for pre-unit Triumph twins, listed under 82-3057 (also shown as 82-3057C or PT004 in some references). It's a taper seat style petcock finished in brass, and it's built without a rubber seal - the taper seat itself is what makes the fuel-tight fit at the tank, so don't go looking for a washer or O-ring that isn't supposed to be there.

This is the kind of petcock you'll find feeding the carburetor on early pre-unit machines, mounted at the bottom of the tank where the fuel line picks up. Because it's a taper seat design rather than a gasket-sealed type, fitment against the tank boss matters - if you're swapping one in, check that your tank's petcock bosses are cut for the taper seat style before you order.
We don't have a lot of extra history on this one beyond what's in the description, so if you're not sure whether your tank takes a taper seat petcock versus a sealed type, give us a call and we'll sort it out before you buy.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
