Clip, silencer to exhaust pipe
Clamp that joins the silencer to the exhaust pipe on Triumph twins, listed as 70-2271 (also E2271).
70-2271 is the clip that clamps the silencer onto the exhaust pipe where the two meet, holding that joint tight so the connection doesn't work loose or blow through. It shows up across a long run of exhaust-system figures in the parts books, from straightforward pipe-and-silencer layouts to the versions with side covers, undershields, and folding footrests, which tells you this is a basic hardware item used widely across the exhaust systems of the era rather than something unique to one setup. In the older parts books it's also listed as E2271, the letter-prefix form used before the numbering was standardized.
