SMALL END BUSH T20/3TA
Small end bush for the T20/3TA connecting rod, where the piston pin pivots in the rod.
This is the small end bush, part number 70-1762, also listed under the older E1762 number. The catalog ties it to the T20/3TA models and it shows up in the crankshaft, piston, and timing gear figures as well as the crankshaft and connecting rod listings, which tells you where it lives: pressed into the small end of the connecting rod, where the rod meets the gudgeon pin.

A small end bush like this is a wear item that lets the piston pin pivot smoothly inside the rod as the piston moves up and down. Over time and mileage these bushes wear and let play develop at the small end, which shows up as knocking or rattling from the top of the engine. When you're doing a rebuild or addressing rod-end slop, this is the part that gets replaced.
Our catalog record has it appearing across a decent number of listings from the early to late 1960s for the T20/3TA line, but for exact model-year fitment on your particular machine, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
