Hose, master cylinder/top yoke, for low handlebar
Front brake hose, master cylinder to top yoke, for low handlebar setups, superseded by 60-4177A.
This is the front brake hose that runs from the master cylinder down to the top fork yoke, fitted to bikes set up with low handlebars. It carries hydraulic fluid pressure from the lever down to the caliper circuit and it's a hydraulic-era part, so it's for the disc-brake bikes rather than the earlier drum-brake machines.

The catalog shows this one appearing in front brake sections across appearances running 1979 to 1983. It's been superseded by 60-4177A, which is the current form of the same hose if your parts book or an older order still shows the 60-4177 number.
Because it's a low-bar-specific length, don't swap it in for a hose meant for higher bars or vice versa without checking the fit against your handlebar setup. If you're not sure which hose your bike takes, give us a call and we'll sort out the right one before you order.
