The gearbox mainshaft, part 57-4432, later superseded by 57-7077.
This is the mainshaft out of the gearbox, part number 57-4432, showing up in the parts books under GEARBOX SHAFTS AND GEARS. It's one of the two main shafts inside the gearbox shell, carrying the gear pinions and taking the drive through from the clutch end out to the sprocket end.

Our catalog records run this number from 1974 to 1980, so it's a later gearbox internal rather than something you'd find in an early pre-unit box. The factory eventually superseded this part with 57-7077, so if you're chasing one down and your parts book or a supplier lists 57-7077 instead, that's the same shaft under its later number.
Gearbox shaft work isn't a job to guess your way through — pull the gearbox and check the shaft against what's actually in your case before you order, since shaft specs changed across the years these boxes were built.
