Lucas alternator stator from the chaincase/alternator assembly, cataloged for 1960-1962.

This is the stator, the fixed coil assembly that lives inside the primary chaincase as part of the alternator setup. It's a Lucas electrical part and it's what the rotor spins inside of to generate AC current for the bike's charging and lighting circuits.
