Jet block (1-1/16 in. choke)
Jet block for an Amal monobloc carburetor with a 1-1/16 in. choke, holding the main and needle jets.
This is the jet block out of an Amal monobloc carburetor, the 1-1/16 in. choke version. The jet block sits down in the bottom of the carb body and holds the main jet, needle jet, and the passages that meter fuel into the venturi as the slide lifts. It's a wear item as much as a fitment item — the seats and passages take a beating over the years from dirt, ethanol fuel, and old gasoline varnish, so a tired jet block can cause flooding, poor idle, or a bike that won't hold a tune no matter how many times you rejet it.

The catalog shows this block appearing across a run of Amal monobloc carburetor figures — the 6T, T110, TR6, T100R, T100T, and Bonneville 120 setups all show up in our records with this part. That's a fair spread of monobloc-equipped twins, but which exact carb and choke size you need depends on your specific carburetor body, so check what's stamped on your carb before ordering.
If you're rebuilding a monobloc from the ground up, the jet block is usually replaced alongside the float, needle, and gaskets rather than on its own, since by the time one needs attention the rest of the internals are usually due too.
