This is the brake anchor plate for the front wheel, the fixed plate that carries the brake shoes and backs up against the fork end so the whole shoe assembly has something solid to react against when the brake is applied. It's a Triumph part that shows up in the front wheel section of the parts book, listed with the brake already fitted to it as an assembly rather than sold bare.
