Brake Anchor Plate Assembly
Front drum brake anchor plate assembly that carries the shoes, cam, and pivot pins inside the front wheel.
This is the front brake anchor plate assembly, the backplate that carries the brake shoes and pivot pins inside the front drum. It's the part that everything else in the front brake bolts to - shoes, springs, the cam that pushes them out, and the cable arm that pulls it all together when you squeeze the lever. Catalog listings show it under FRONT WHEEL and FRONT WHEEL T100R figures, with appearances spanning 1970 to 1974.

The older W3461 stamping is the same physical part under the pre-metric numbering scheme, so if your parts book or an old part in a box shows W3461 instead of 37-3461, you're looking at the same anchor plate.
Since this fits into a drum brake and works off a cable, not hydraulics, there's no fluid or caliper involved - it's a mechanical, cable-actuated setup. Given the plate mounts up against the fork leg and carries several other parts (shoes, cam, springs), it's worth checking the assembly over closely against what's currently on the bike before ordering, since front brake plates changed around through this era and we want you getting the right one.
