Spade (99-0173)
Spade terminal (99-0173) used in speedometer and tachometer wiring, later renumbered 60-0493.
This is a spade terminal listed under part number 31-371-398, also carried in the parts books as 99-0173. It shows up in the speedometer and tachometer wiring diagrams, where it's used as a connector on the instrument wiring. The factory later renumbered this part to 60-0493, so if your parts book or a supplier lists that number instead, it's the same piece.

A spade terminal like this crimps or slides onto a wire end and pushes into a matching connector or lug, giving you a quick disconnect point instead of a soldered joint. On instrument wiring it's a small part but a useful one to have on hand if you're chasing down a loose or corroded connection at the speedo or tach.
The catalog record ties this one to the instrument wiring circuit across a run of years in the parts books, but it doesn't spell out gauge size or plating. If you're matching an existing harness, bring the old terminal or wire gauge in with you so we can get you the right fit.
