Bolt – silencer clamp (⁵⁄₁₆" UN.F X 1½")

5/16" UNF x 1½" bolt for the silencer clamp on the exhaust system.

PN · 14-0209

This is the bolt that holds the silencer clamp together where the muffler mounts, sized at 5/16 inch UNF by 1½ inches long. It's a small but necessary bit of hardware in the exhaust system, keeping the clamp band tight around the silencer body so it doesn't work loose or rattle off down the road.

The catalog only shows this one turning up in a single listing tied to 1973, grouped in with handlebar, dual seat, fuel tank, and silencer fittings on that page of the parts book. That's a common way for odds-and-ends fasteners to get bundled together in the factory manual, so don't read too much into the company it's keeping there.

If you're replacing a silencer clamp or just doing a once-over on the exhaust hardware, this is a straightforward fastener to swap in. Check the thread and length against what's actually on the bike before you order, since our record on this one is thin.
