Valve ball (7/32 in. dia.)
A 7/32 in. steel ball used in the Triumph oil pump and release valve assembly.
This is the small steel ball used in the oil pump and release valve assembly on Triumph pre-unit and unit twins. It measures 7/32 in. in diameter and sits in the check valve/release valve part of the oil circuit, where it seats against a spring-loaded plunger to control oil flow through the pump.

In the parts books this ball shows up across a run of figures covering the oil pump, release valve, inlet manifold, and tappets, which tells you it's a shared component used wherever those assemblies come together on the engine. It's a wear item that's easy to lose track of during a rebuild, so if you're servicing the oil pump or release valve it's worth having a fresh one on hand.
The catalog record for S70-7 spans a wide run of years, which just reflects how long this ball stayed in production unchanged across different oil pump revisions. Confirm against your own parts book or the pump you're rebuilding before ordering, since these little check balls turn up in more than one spot on the engine.
